| October 5, 2010 | Press conference in Almaty A press conference will be held 6.00 pm (GMT+5) in Almaty at the Metro Restaurant Carting-centre. Due to the delay accumulated at the customs in the previous days this event has been postponed for 1 day: 5 Oct instead of 4 Oct. |
| September 24, 2010 | Event in Novokuzneck Next live demo of the vehicles is scheduled for September 24 in Novokuzneck. Information about place and time will be provided as soon as available. |
| September 21, 2010 | Press conference and demo in Novosibirsk A press conference and a live demo are scheduled for today September 21 at respectively 4.00 pm and 6.00 pm (GMT+7) in Novosibirsk at the shopping center in Krasny Prospekt 101. |
| September 17, 2010 | Press conference in Omsk A press conference is scheduled for today September 17 at 5.00 pm (GMT+7). Information about the place will be provided asap. Since the event in planned inside a mall in Omsk, a live demo of the vehicle is not possible. |

| September 10, 2010 | Press conference and demo in Ekaterinburg A press conference is planned for September 10 at 11.00 am and a live demo of autonomous vehicles is scheduled at 5.00 pm. |
| September 6, 2010 | Press conference and demo in Chelyabinsk The press conference and demonstration planned fot September 7 have been anticipated to September 6, 2010 A live demo of autonomous vehicles will probably be held at 4.00 pm (local time). Information about the place will be provided asap. |
| September 4, 2010 | Event in Ufa Another demonstration is planned in Ufa on September 4, 2010. A press conference will take place at 10.30 am in the Azimut Hotel Ufa, and a live demo of autonomous vehicles will be held at 6.00 pm. |
| September 1, 2010 | Event in Kazan The next event is scheduled to be in Kazan on September 1, 2010. There will be a presentation but probably not a live demo. More details, together with exact time and location, to be released soon. |
| August 29, 2010 | Event in Samara The next event will be in Samara on Aug 29. In Saratov we had three events (for the public, for press, and demo) and we’ll try to replicate in Samara and in all our other stops. |
| August 26, 2010 | Presentation and demo in Saratov On August 26th there will be the usual presentation and demonstration in Saratov. We are actively working with the Russian Academy for Transportation in order to set up more time for technical presentations targeted directly at engineers/companies working in the field. Hope to be able to start in Saratov. |
| August 23, 2010 | Presentation and demo in Niznij Novogorod Today, August 23rd, presentation and demo in Niznij Novgorod. |
| August 19, 2010 | Technical presentation and demo in Moscow On Aug 19 we will have a technical presentation at TopCon organized by VisLab and TopCon, together with the Russian Academy for Transportation. There will be a ppt presentation in a meeting room at 11.00am, followed by a demonstration of the vehicles at 12.00noon, and the possibility to check the vehicles and interact with VisLab engineers. Full credentials are needed to enter the building; please check with info@vislab.it in case you are interested (press only). Finally at 4.30pm the Italian Ambassador in Moscow will visit the vehicles and will talk to the VisLab engineers. |
| August 18, 2010 | First presentation in Moscow On Aug 18 we will have a press conference organized by Gazprom. The demo will be today at 4.00pm in the park just outside Hotel Kosmos, Moscow. It’s open to the public. |
| August 17, 2010 | Shows in Moscow Today, August 17th, we will be entering in Moscow in the late morning/early afternoon, together with some journalists/press and escorted by the police. The plans for the next days are still shaping up, but it should be as follows. Aug 18th: Gazprom presentation and small demo of the vehicles. Aug 19th: technical presentation at TopCon (one of our technical sponsors) with demo of the vehicles and possibility to interact with VisLab engineers that worked on the vehicles. Aug20th: free for either vehicle maintenance or shopping around Moscow… (some spare time to relax is indeed mandatory!) |
| August 15, 2010 | Demo in Voronezh Today, August 15th, a demonstration wil be held in Voronezh. Exact time and location to be released soon. |
| August 12, 2010 | Rostov demo Today, August 12th, a demonstration is scheduled at Teatral’Niy Prospekt, Rostov-Na-Donu (theatre area) in late afternoon. |
| August 8, 2010 | Demo in Karkov The next demo is scheduled to be in Karkov on August 8, 2010. Exact time and location to be released soon. |
| August 5, 2010 | Demo in Kiev The next demo is scheduled to be in Kiev on August 5, 2010 at the Karavan Shopping Center, Karavan, Kiev. There will be the chance to check the vehicles and talk to the VIsLab engineers. Special meetings with press agencies and journalists are also planned at the end. |
| July 31, 2010 | Meet with press in Budapest First unplanned meeting with press agencies in Budapest: due to the interest that VIAC generated around the world, journalists and press agencies are requesting interviews. The first meeting will take place in Budapest next July 31. |
| July 29, 2010 | Autonomous driving! Due to the late arrival of the previous Overland mission we had to delay this trip. Anyway, being the road to Shanghai quite long and having already defined some demos in specific places (like Belgrade, for instance) we had to postpone the official start. It will happen from Belgrade on July 29. From that day onwards, live coverage will also start. |
| July 28, 2010 | VIAC demo in Belgrade The first demo of the vehicles will take place in Belgrade at the USCE Shopping Center around 2.00pm (local time). Due to a late arrival of the previous mission of the Overland group (in Africa) we have very little time to finalize all aspects of our trip to Shanghai and we had to postpone the departure. Therefore, everything will start from Belgrade on Wednesday, July 28. |
| July 26, 2010 | VIAC departure from Parma The expedition will leave Parma: the 4 electric autonomous vehicles will be followed by 4 RVs, and 3 support trucks. The mission will be headed towards Belgrade, where the first demonstration will take place. |

| July 1, 2010 | The IntercontinentaChallenge.eu website goes live Finally the new website covering the whole VIAC event and project is online. Further add-ons like the official blog, live image streaming, GPS following on Google maps,… will be added at a later stage and will be available by July 20, 2010 |
| June 15-16, 2010 | Official VIAC announcement in Shanghai, China. At the European Pavilion (the Belgium one), Prof. Alberto Broggi presented the VIAC event to the Chinese press. This project was selected amongst the 1000 grants awarded by ERC (European Research Council) to represent ERC itself and its researches. |
| February 20, 2010 | Official VIAC announcement in San Diego, California. Prof. Alberto Broggi presented the VIAC event to AAAS in San Diego, CA. Major press and journalists were present and reported on the event. Read the full story |
| October 29, 2009 | Official VIAC announcement in Rome, Italy. Rome’s major announced the VIAC challenge at the end of an important press conference; then he left on BRAiVE, VisLab’s autonomous vehicle, with no driver. The demonstration was held at the EUR district, at the presence of Rome’s Major, Gianni Alemanno. More information on the presentation can be found in the official press release. |
